The Moon over the Canyon
On Friday we hiked down to Horseshoe Mesa. We returned to the rim just as the sun was setting in the west and the moon was rising in the east. These are all pictures of the moon.

Dining with the birds
Chuck sent in this picture with this comment:
This young red-shouldered (?) hawk ate breakfast with Peg and I the other morning. Fortunately he chose to eat outside on the deck rail.
When we were hiking down the South Kaibab Trail a week ago, Mike and I ate our lunch at Skeleton Point in the company of this raven who danced and bobbed around for us and even attempted to "sing" for his supper.
